Cebu 2010

Standard

It has been a year since our trip to Cebu. It was an August last year, near the Kadayawan week that we decided to visit Cebu and see what Cebu has for us first timers. Our Itenirary was more of the City tour and food trip. I arrived Cebu from Davao w/ my high school barkada who got married in Cebu. Upon arriving, we were fetched by her husband and we went straight to their restaurant at the Park Mall to have our dinner. then we went around Parkmall, and we visited their house. I just hang-out at their house up til almost midnight and then they drive me to my hotel. After a few hours, another high school friend from Manila came to join me for a week of adventure in Cebu. She graduated in Cebu, so she can tour us (together w/ some Davao friends) around Cebu. Our first day in Cebu started w/ a complimentary Jollibee Breakfast, then we transfered to another hotel, just right across the hotel I spent the night.

First Day, We went to SM Cebu for Lunch to taste Lechon Cebu @ CNT Lechon, then went to Ayala Cebu to stroll & had snacks at My Joy. I tried their mini tacos which are really yummy plus their halo-halo, after our late snacks we went to the Terraces and had pica-pica @ Moon Cafe. After hours of chit-chats we went back to the hotel and called it a night.

After our 1 day Singapore side trip, we rode a bus to Melacca Malaysia, Its a 3 hrs bus ride from Singapore. The first place we visited in Melacca is Newton, its a hawker area. I only took a few pics at Newton since we were all starving from our trip.  Here are what we ordered at the Newton hawker place:

After our late lunch, we went to the Maritime Museum, somehow reminds me of the Galleon ship. We had to pay an entrance fee and was asked to removed our shoes upon entering the ship. Here are what you’ll see inside the ship:

Batu Caves
To get to Batu Caves, we rode the MTR which has the Batu Cave station, upon reaching there you’ll see a big statue of Buddha and the cave can be reached by using the stairs which is almost 200 steps. It was very tiring but is also a good exercise. After the tiring climb to reach the cave, we stopped by an Indian resto which serves roti w/ curry n Indian Yogurt. After having some quick snacks. We rode the MTR and was back to Kuala Lumpur.

Singapore Holyweek 2011

Standard

Been wanting to go abroad again after a few years of not travelling abroad. It was just this year that I got the chance to travel with my parents just this Holyweek 2011. It was more than a week of backpacking trip. First off, we had our early flight to Manila, we were with 2 other families..a total of 16 people.. then Manila-Singapore through Jetstar, a budget airline. Manila-Singapore is an 4 hours flight.  There where in-flight meals sold by Jetstar.  We arrived Singapore almost 1 am. and had our midnight dinner near the hotel area. The next day we were just strolling around Singapore for brunch then our family went to Universal Studios for some fun rides. Here are some of the places we had visited there:

After a sumptous meal, we just strolled around Esplanade and took pics. The view we see at Esplanade are the views of the Marina Sands Bay and other buildings near the area. After the stroll we called it a night since they have to ride the MTR home at the same time I had to pack for our next day trip to Malaysia.
